Editorial Policy

Mindnewsng is committed to truthful, fair and independent journalism in service of the Nigerian public. Our editorial standards are simple and non-negotiable.

Accuracy and Verification

We strive to report accurately. Each story is checked before publication, and where information cannot be independently verified we say so and attribute the information to its source.

Attribution

We clearly credit our sources. Articles sourced from our partner news wires and national publications carry the name of the originating outlet. Our own reporting is attributed to our named journalists.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Readers can request a correction by writing to info@mindnewsng.com with the subject line "Correction". We aim to respond within 24 hours.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors, government and political interests. Advertising is clearly labelled and never influences reporting.

Ethics

We do not accept bribes or payment for coverage. Our journalists identify themselves as reporters, protect vulnerable sources, and respect privacy except where the public interest clearly outweighs it.

Community Standards

We avoid publishing content that promotes hatred, discrimination or violence against any group, and we take care when reporting on sensitive topics such as violence, tragedy and vulnerable individuals.
